My name is Suzie, Plant-based Nutritionist

My Passion is to create delicious comfort food that is also healthy and nutritious, hence the name- slim AND savory!
About 5 years ago, I decided to pursue my love of cooking, but wanted to take it further into helping people achieve their health and fitness goals- I truly believe you don't have to sacrifice enjoying delicious comfort foods to have optimum health. This led to me becoming a certified holistic nutritionist with a specialization in autoimmune disorders, and personal trainer.During my nutrition studies, the overwhelming evidence of the benefits of a plant based diet began to evolve the way I ate- as you can see from my Youtube videos on the video page, you can see my journey transitioning from eating dairy, chicken and seafood to becoming primarily plant based- which is all the recipes you will find on my page. I have followed closely the lives of the Blue zones, along with daily activity, community, and purpose- eating plant based is proven to lead to good health and longevity. Along with balance... like the blue zone folks in Greece, I enjoy a good glass of wine!Personal background- I live in sunny FL surrounded by my amazing family, and my 2 rescue pups! Prior to becoming a nutritionist I worked as a Director for 2 major retailers, spent nearly 6 years living in East TN, and love to read, consider myself a movie, comedy and music buff, and feel most like myself when I'm creating- whether it be recipe testing, writing, or making homemade soaps, terrariums, and anything DIY! I truly hope my page gives you inspiration to try amazing plant based foods!
